In a previous blog I mentioned the changes coming to VRN and we have our first new show ready to make it's debut, VRN Top 20 Hosted by Dan Moore!

Join Dan weekly as he counts down the Top 20 hits from a specific year in music history! If you love the feel of or miss those count down shows a la Casey Kasem then you need to tune in for VRN Top 20!

The show airs on VRN exclusively on Sat-Sun-Mon-Wed-Fri 10:00am-11:30am Eastern, Tue-Thurs 8:30pm-10:00pm Eastern and Sat-Sun 10:30pm-Midnight Eastern!

Remember you heard it here folks! Times...they are a changing!

For starters...next week look for a brand new Velocity Live Show from our brand new studio inside the CSB building! We're all really excited to get into the new digs and get back to business! The remodeling looks great and the layout/new additions are something we've been looking forward to for quite some time! We're hoping to have some really cool things to bring you guys in on once we settle in so stay tuned! (And of course we'll take some pics of the new digs to post!)

Second, once the page flips to September there are changes coming to VRN that we're very excited about! New time slots, New shows making their debut and of course more music from the hit show Glee!!! There's more but we're not going to let all the surprises out now...what fun would that be??!!!

What's up everyone??!! We here at Velocity Live hope you're getting ready for the big July 4th weekend and that you and your families have a great weekend ahead!

I just wanted to update everyone on what's up over the next few weeks here at Velocity!

This weekend look for the 4th and final Velocity Live 5 Year Anniversary show right here on the site! It's going to be all about the birth and rise of VRN on live365.com along with some other surprises! Our special guest is the lead singer of the band Last November Luke Pilgrim!

In other show news I'm excited to announce that Velocity Live Radio will be attending The American Idol Press Hour for our 5th straight year when the tour makes it stop here on Long Island at The Nikon Theatre at Jones Beach on July 7th!! As usual we'll be bringing you interviews with as many of the top 10 finalists as we can and you'll get to hear them on a special AI Press Hour Show and watch (YES I SAID WATCH!!) them right here on the sight and on our You Tube and Facebook pages! On June 7th, 2010 Velocity Live Radio and The Velocity Radio Network will be proud to present the start of The 5 Year Velocity Live Anniversary Shows!

The first in the series of anniversary shows will be hosted by Paul Verderosa and Dan Moore and will feature a lookback at the show's days on 540AM WLIE! They'll be lots of stories and laughs along with our special guest Tracy Grandstaff, voice of MTV's Cult Classic Daria!

There will be 3 more 5 Year Anniversary Shows to follow the first one, making a series of 4 and there are some amazing and great things planned for them (After all it is 5 years!!)!

There will be plenty of "Velocity Live Rewind" packages featured with classic moments and moments that I'm sure both you and our crew/former crew have forgotten about! So get ready to hear from old crew members John Mullaney, Melissa Gee and Marisa Deanna! You might even get to hear from Grandma From Exit 30 as well!!

And of course what series of shows wouldn't be complete without guests!! In addition to Tracy Grandstaff you'll also over the next few weeks hear from American Idol Season 8 Alum Scott MacIntyre! The lead singer of Last November Luke Pilgrim will be joining us and we'll feature the band's kick ass music during the show! In addition to the 4pm-6pm Daily and 7pm-Midnight Sat/Sun time slots for songs/performances from the hit show GLEE now you can also get to hear the music in rotation during our "Default" slots and also during our Automation and VRN Music Overnight programs!!

What's a "Default" slot? Well...simply put when a Talk Show/Program IS NOT SCHEDULED then the station reverts back to what we call "Default" music programming.. In those slots you'll now find music from GLEE mixed in with the great hits of today and yesterday!

So be sure to tell your friends and fellow gleeks that VRN is spinnin' those Glee hits and and always we thank you for your support :)

The 5 year Anniversary of Velocity Live Radio is fast approaching!! Hey Everyone!!

First off lets hope everyone is safe and sound with ALL THE DAMN SNOW! I know for one I can't wait for summer to get here!! Lets all think warm thoughts!!!

I just wanted to update everyone and let you know that new shows are just around the corner as we get the American Idol Season going!! Host picks have been pretty much on the money the past few years and I expect nothing less this year when we make our selections!

Speaking of selections...Who else is disappointed out there that Shelby Dressel didn't make it into the Top 24??!! I mean SERIOUSLY!!! I think Simon said it all last night after she was walking out of the theatre "They Made A Mistake!"....I'm working hard at getting Shelby on the show for a phoner and even get some of her music on VRN so I'll keep everyone posted as to what goes down!!
